I was just wondering if my XT9 mesh setup would need to have VLAN in order to use it and connect directly to yayzi, rather than having to go through the supplied router.
I’d just like to test the speeds with a direct connection that’s all, if it’s not something my router supports then it’s no big deal.

Do you have an option similar to this in the webgui?
If the model doesnt support vlan 911 on the wan interface, then it wont work directly into the ONT. It may work having it run behind the Yayzi supplied router, but risk running double nat if the Asus doesnt support AP only mode.
Fill the internet box in with 911. You may need to wait 15-20 minutes for the connection to come back up. Id reboot the ONT after 20 minutes with your Asus plugged directly into the ONT. That should work.
ISP profile should be set to DHCP not manual ( if it gives you the option)

Well it all worked fine.
Gone back to the old setup and now nothing works, the supplied router, the catchily named ex820v now refuses to connect, I think it knows I was trying to replace it or something.
I’ve rebooted everything including the ONT.
Anyways I’ve emailed yayzi, told 'em I fskd with it and asked them to fix it!
back on again only 30 minutes after i titted with it!
