Hello, I can’t find if this was questioned before or no but I’m in the market for a good Ethernet cable for 2.3 up/down that yayzi offer. Can someone recommend me something please ?
Any Cat5e or above will do just fine! If you need a longer one or have a bundle of them going through the house or by electrical wiring, you could look at specific cables but if not don’t bother! Even flat ones or extra slim ones will do fine
Would probably look at Cat 6 as it gives you a bit more futureproofing. I would always go for a solid copper core rather than the stranded stuff if you’re talking about wiring between rooms etc.
Technically the best would be a CAT 6A cable, but a Cat 6 cable will work the same. Even a Cat 5E on a short distance will be fine.
Anything advertised as more (CAT 7 / 8) is just likely a scam - just are typically just badly made CAT 5 cables. Best thing to do is stay away from anything on Amazon. Also avoid Flat cables as well as they apparently don’t meet the spec (they’ll still work though).
If it helps, I went for these Cat 6A Patch Cables from Cable Monkey. Overkill but I wanted piece of mind
CAT 6 is more than adequate for
for a patch lead.
Just a straight cable. Went with moleculars advice
Thank you all !
