Had a look at the RE700X but strangely the photo of that shows onemesh in the corner of the box

Frustratingly amazon seem to be pretty much the only stockist.
Yeah, it’s a bit buried and confusing - but OneMesh and EasyMesh aren’t mutually exclusive in products 
. Our 700 is on EasyMesh with the Yayzi-provided Ex830v router.
OneMesh is TP-link’s own system, where EasyMesh is a new industry standard. (Deco and Omada are also Tp-link mesh systems that don’t work with each other or their OneMesh or EasyMesh systems 
)

Dead easy to set up
Uhhh, I used to have one of those, great piece of kit! i dumped it because it didn’t do wireguard, though I think it does now with the newer firmware, need to look it up.
Yeah great price only has 1gb ports though but everything I have only had 1gb throuput . Also sorry didn’t realise this was from earlier this year
Here’s my setup.
From the ont I have the ex820v, I have wifi turned off and only use as a modem. From the single 2.5gb lan it goes to a 2.5gb switch (https://amzn.eu/d/btv2aPm) from the switch I have my mac hardwired in via a 2.5gb caldigit hub and an Asus ai mesh system as my main system needs the uninterrupted speed.
My mesh setup is 2 x Asus xt9’s and 3 Asus xt8’s. They’re all routers or nodes but with the xt9’s being newer I have one of those as the main router and the rest connected as nodes using a dedicated wireless backhaul. The 2.5gb wan port on the nodes doubles as a 2.5gb lan or you can wire them for a wired backhaul, I just use wireless backhaul. I can get around 1.8gb wirelessly when the network is optimised.
I previously had netgear orbi but this mesh system has served me well with few bugs. There’s some good posts on reddit about optimising the system and it does have a few quirks but nothing so far I haven’t been able to iron out.
The picture shows the network at its best with each node connected to the router, but nodes can happily connect to each other and with the dedicated backhaul you’re not sending and trying to receive on the same channel.
