CF engineer just never turned up to appointment

This happened to anybody else? I raised a ticket to Yayzi (I know it’s not their fault but they are my only point of contact obviously) and waiting to hear a reply. Took a day off work today as well for this, don’t suppose we can charge THEM a missed appointment fee lol?

It’s hugely frustrating when that happened, unfortunately we don’t get to charge them for not turning up :frowning: we will be awaiting notes back as to what their reason is

That is unfortunate. I am also looking forward to see what they say. All the other work has been done recently, building cabled up, fibre spliced and left bundled outside my door. It’s possible they haven’t flagged it as “finished” yet but we will see! They could have at least told me though rather than left me hanging around all day, very frustrating.

Spoke to Yayzi support and they supplied a message from Cityfibre but it is the completely wrong information, seems like either they asked about the wrong order or CF gave them information about the wrong order.

There are guys here today with what sounds like an air compressor to blow the fibre into the building (I thought this had already been done but I guess not), he said someone should come later on today to do the termination on both ends. Still have no idea when I will get my install done though, I am hoping someone doesn’t turn up out of the blue when I am not here…

Been 3 days now with no update from Yayzi or CF, can someone please look into this?

I believe on the Ofcom website it does suggest any missed installation appointments are supposed to be compensated, or at least that is how I read it

The compensation dig was mostly tongue in cheek, I was mainly just looking for an update on the situation and when they are going to come out and actually do my install. Someone from Yayzi has replied to my ticket now but I am not 100% sure they understand the situation

I had this for my installation, old IP cut me off on Saturday despite my request not ot be a weekend(bar stewards), CF never turned up Monday, 2 days for Yayzi to get a reason (which was some BS excuse from CF) and we were told they’d come Friday, Yayzi pushed them and they came Thursday. Yayzi were brilliant but it’s a shat show from CF.

Then compensation should be claimed for! When they have to continuously pay compensation they might get their s**t show in order…

Hi lad’s, we have obviously had some back and forward about this via email but I am struggling to get a solid answer. I appreciate you’re busy, and I feel like a bit of a Karen.

But is there any firm date for when my rescheduled appointment is? I need to know when I need to book another day off work and can cancel my extortionate out of contract cost with my current ISP.
