Got a text message today from cityfibre stating they’ll connect me to “full fibre” tomorrow with the full cable & box install !
It’s the same phone number CF contacted me on LAST JUNE.
Calm down, please. The text message is wrong, It is not a full install. They are simply going to be swapping the ONT for an XGS Compatible one

Ahh, so my area is getting upgraded to symetric 2Gb+ nice.
Does it also come with a free upgrade to 2/2.5G 
I’ve only ever seen whispers here of the XGS upgrade, would be helpfull if CF could have their bot send a more specific message.

As far as I’m aware if you’re on 1.2 gig pro, Your upload speed and will upgrade from 1000 up to 1.2 gig, However, don’t quote me on that I will see myself on Thursday when I get my upgrade

ONT replaced, it’s a little fatter than the previous 1007 (?), and seems a little faster more responsive. Was hoping the latency (17ms) would drop a ms or two.
Took ages for the service led to come on.
But the CF Engineer didn’t know why he was here - I had to tell him !

Just checked on cityfibre availability and Yayzi is not in the providers list now.

When I joined Yayzi, City Fibre were booked to come and upgrade my ONT as I’d upgraded to the 1.2g package. City Fibre had no idea that’s all they had to do. They got to my house early to start digging up my garden to lay the fibre only to realise it was already there. They were quite pleased though to be fair when they realised it was just an ONT change
