Hey, moving in with my dad who has a 1.2Gbps Yayzi connection. He says I can use my ASUS router as it’s top quality and he’s not keen on the reliability of the router he has. Just wondering if this set up is correct? He has a static IP since he’s on the 1.2Gbps package
In the WAN tab:
WAN Connection Type: Automatic IP
DHCP Query Mode: Aggressive Mode (or do I use continuous or normal mode?)
In the LAN tab → IPTV
Select ISP Profile: Manual setting
VID: 911
PRIO: 0
Use DHCP routes: Microsoft
Enable multicast routing: Disabled
Is this all correct for a static IP 1.2Gbps Yayzi connection or have I missed anything? Many thanks

Was it a Yayzi router first of all that he has?
Have you first checked that your router is capable of over 1 Gbps? Which router is it?
To get the connection on the WAN interface is all you need is Vlan 911 and DHCP auto
Yes it is over 1Gbps capable, in the title it says ASUS RT-AX88U Pro, it has a 2.5GB WAN port and a 2.5GB LAN port and yes he has a Yayzi router

Here is how I would set it, which is the same as you have done.
WAN Tab:
WAN Connection Type: Automatic IP
DHCP Query Mode: Normal (only relevant for Dynamic IP)
LAN Tab → IPTV:
Select ISP Profile: Manual setting
VID: 911
PRIO: 0
Additional Settings:
Use DHCP routes: Microsoft
Enable multicast routing: Disabled
Does the connection work?

I will know next week when I move in. I’ll try Normal mode instead of aggressive, cheers
The Yayzi router that came, they tend to be capable plus the default will see you up and running and they can manage it.
This setup should be similar to mine when I done my Asus be98. When you set it up let me know if get stuck and will try help you out👍

Will do, in the meantime if you would be willing to check your settings in your WAN and LAN tabs that would be very much appreciated
If need anymore let me know
Thanks so much! The only thing I would need clarification on is which of these three should be used? Normal aggressive or continuous?
At it says special requirements from the isp normal mode should be ok.
DNS as you’re not forwarding DNS queries on the WAN where does it do the DNS for internet names?
Thanks! that’ll be enough information I will need, I also assume you’re on a static IP so it should work as long as I do the same settings. Cheers mate!

Actually @supershaun I wanted to ask if you have a static ip?
@Vanilla494 Yes I do. Have been on static for about 1 month
D’oh! I forgot to come back here. I never ended up moving in with my Dad in the end but I moved into my own property anyway and got connected to Yayzi. Yes I was able to get my router working with no issues at all.
Awesome news! Great to see it’s working as it should be!
