Can’t reboot Yayzi supplied router as internet disappears for hours, Apple TV app doesn’t work on either Sony TVs anymore, IPv6 not available.
I have had to set TP-Link thing to see my Unifi DM as the DMZ, otherwise other services become odd because of double-NAT. Yes, I have tried plugging TVs into the router - no change, so not Wifi settings.
Apple TV box doesn’t work for Apple TV, either.
Yes my Ipv4 starts with 154.* and meant to be static - I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out it wasn’t
Yayzi say, as you’d expect, everything is OK their end (really? no Ipv6?) and it’s an upstream issue with CityFibre. I am old enough to remember these excuses when BT unbundled the local loop.
If I turn off the Tp-Link doorstop, I don’t get a connection for ages. Yayzi DHCP doesn’t reply (I don’t get a DHCP offer, for at least two hours - have tried static IP - the one the DHCP originally assigned, but doesn’t work)
THe Tp-Link doorstep doesn’t integrate into Unifi Mesh, so, for now, hacking it together to avoid double-NAT
There are 3 different 154 ranges, the one you was on should have been absolutely fine. Fair enough it isn’t and we need to get you off that, but nothing was touched prior to you going offline.
We don’t put anyone on any range “to keep them quiet” that’s very counterproductive and would cause us more issues.
Please can you completely power down your router and ONT, leave for 5 mins then power on just the ONT, wait a further 5 mins and then power your router on, if you’re still having issues then please drop me a reply back to your last ticket.
I’ve already replied to you via ticket. I really need to get this either to the forums or via ticket and it’s getting hard to keep track of what’s being said and when and I don’t want to miss anything.
EDIT: Hope that didn’t come across the wrong way, I just don’t want various methods of communications and something gets missed. I just want to get you sorted
As I said via email, I had to rebuild your connection to get you back online, which has been done. Now you’re back online I’ll get your IP swapped over, we don’t need your mac address. We assign by your circuit reference.
Now I am (trying) to connect to an ISP called IXPO (presumably a DHCP error), not Yayzi. I appreciate the email from the COO, but, really, what on earth is going on.
I really don’t know how much longer I can put up with the missus and kids moaning at me, and goodness knows what my mobile data bill will be.
So, far - never had IPv6, never had static IPv4, never had a connection that’s lasted more than a few days.
Presumably, Yayzi knows that ISP stands for Internet SERVICE provider?
