Installation today, still no internet

I’ve created a ticket on MyYayzi but though it was worth posting here as well.

CityFibre installed the line today, all four lights are showing on the ONT.

The router (EX230V) lights are on except the internet light.

I was sent two of the exact same routers - would it be advisable to try the other one instead?

And will you only start charging me for my service when the internet starts working?

That’s right, they won’t charge you until the service is live

If you took the Reddit offer, your first month is free anyway

What is the plan to get this sorted?

I’ve never experienced activation delays with an ISP, neither Virgin nor various Openreach providers over the years.

I get this is a comparatively tiny ISP and a relatively new infrastructure, but why are these provisioning issues just not seeming to be solved?

With internet access being declared a human right by the UN, should CityFibre and its endless list of ISPs be looking into providing customer support at the weekend, just like pretty much every other essential service provider?
