IPv6 - Geo-location issues?

I’ve raised a ticket with support (which I must say @Yayzi_Team I haven’t had a response on yet) on possible geo-location issues with Disney+ where I keep getting an error from their login process.

The thing at the back of my mind though is that this was all working fine until fairly recently, so what’s happened? It wasn’t until I spoke to Disney+ earlier today, that something they said made me think - “has something changed on your network recently?”. Nope… still exactly the same config as per the last 6 months at least.

And just now it dawned on me - what if their servers are picking up my IPv6 address and blocking on that? And so I just tried disabling IPv6 at the router, and now Disney+ is working all fine again… :exploding_head:

What

And I’ve also got a ticket in place for an issue with being unable to stream from Channel 4 - and now that’s working again…

Is this occuring just for me or is anyone else getting similar?

So @Yayzi_Team, can you explain this…?

You’re not the only one - I have the same issue. I’ve had to keep IPV6 disabled for it Disney to work. Yayzi support said to me a few weeks ago that they have advised Disney their geo IP database is out of date.

Yes, the IPv6 was cleaned ages ago but there some platforms that haven’t yet updated theirs yet, which we are waiting on and yes easy fix for moment is to disable it.
