Launching a YouTube channel

Hey guys,

We’re going to be launching a YouTube channel and we’re just wondering if there is anything specific you’d love to see, behind the scenes, how-to’s etc…

Thanks!

Would love to see a tour? Like of the office, monitoring dashboards and maybe even the network rack!

Would love to hear more about how a CF isp operates.

Presume you take an aggregate feed from them in one (maybe more locations) that all terminates in some vlan that you serve DHCP on. You do a bit of routing and then have some peering relationships.

Perhaps a bit about what sort of traffic engineering you do, whether you’re doing much QoS to priorities some services across your core (voice, etc). If so, whether you trust customer DSCP markings or strip and re-tag.

How you’re scaling this stuff. Multigig home broadband COULD consume a lot of traffic on aggregate (thankfully, general internet usage is never that fast), but I expect still presents a problem - Steam, etc.

As a smaller ISP, hoping talking about some of this stuff wont be too difficult.

While a very neiche idea I think a youtube channel would be fantastic, maybe a tiktok too (or just do youtube shorts) for the smaller video’s

How-to’s, Maybe teasing upcoming features?

Hopefully it’s nothing like MTH with that control freak…

How absolutely dare you send a message to computers! I’m watching your every move!

I’d love to see inside telehouse etc, but assume it’s not allowed.

Office tour.
Support examples.
A bit about the staff, hobbies, what they get up to etc.
How you work with customers to make improvements?

etc etc

Don’t think I’ve ever felt better than leaving that place lol

1: How and why you got started, how long it took you to get set up and the pitfalls. Will really show the background you came from and what it’s took till this point.

2: A look into the day to day running of an ISP like yours, equipment you use, how you run it (without obvisouly showing anything you don’t want to show competitors or things you shouldn’t show to public)

3: A series of videos on a few routers that people might want to upgrade to from your own supplied product and how to set them up.

4: A few videos that would help in general troubleshooting your internet connection that might apply to any customer of any ISP(I’m sure this will attract a wider audience and possibly more customers).

Just a few little things I think people would enjoy.

I can’t really see the point of an ISP youtube channel, other than for specific guides on setting up the hardware you supply to both a basic level for new customers but also to an advanced level for people looking to run more complicated networks.

How to guides would be interesting.
How to get different routers setup on the service, some “roll your own” setups, PFSense, OPNSense, flavours of WRT.
A walk throu of the office, and behind the scenes look at the network.
A “Cradle to Grave” of the order/install process.
Maybe a “Future Plans” view of the network
