So today, i’ve had really random timeouts and issues accessing certain websites.
And a few others that i won’t publicly post…
I’ve had a look, my IP hasn’t changed and says i’m in the UK so isn’t a geo issue.
These sites will eventually load, but it takes time and will eventually fail again.
Any ideas?
Note the IP for FSCS in CMD’s ping, takes you to a 404 not found. The ping for RBS says TTL expired:

https://downdetector.co.uk/status/rbs-royal-bank-of-scotland/

This isn’t related to the azure issues.
I’m still having issues accessing this websites and others. Working totally fine on my Virgin Media connection and my phones 4G and 5G

1.1.1.1
Interesting, 1.1.1.1 is who Yayzi use by default i believe. But i’ve just tried, didn’t make a difference.

Just tried setting DNS locally on my PC, no change.
No issue with loading fscs site here
Plenty quick too

yeah, still dead.
What are people using for DNS? I’ve tried 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8
I’ve flushed DNS and rebooted my unifi equipment.

I just clicked your link with it in, yes. But no, doesn’t make a difference.
I can’t get rbs.co.uk to load though and can’t ping it either,
It loads if I google it and click the link: https://www.rbs.co.uk/

Rbs and fscs are both hosted in Azure, load balanced across multiple IPs, depending on which route you take over the internet will determine which IP you hit. Could be specific IPs still having issues.

Yeah, doesn’t explain the sites not hosted on Azure. But you’re right and with the wide range of azure services, it could’ve just impacted something else along the way

It’s got to be DNS at this point, surely? I can access it fine on VM / 5G. But i don’t know what to try other than restarting equipment and flushing the DNS

YouTube keeps going up and down, seems stable now. Netflix did drop earlier but has come back. And a few other sites
FSCS.org.uk isn’t working on Virgin Media Business line. Seems like its further afield than Yayzi
