Network Migration

Hey all,

Over the next several weeks we are going to be migrating to our new hardware in Telehouse North, we’re working with CityFibre to migrate customers, but we have to move them in batches of 200 per night, so its going to take a few weeks to move everyone.

The move will mean a much better service for you all, decreased latency (we have peering from Manchester too) increased IP Transit with more providers and also more peering.

During this time, there will be small amounts of disruption to your connection, you will see increased latency across the board and you may notice a small speed drop.

You will not need to do anything and if your connection does drop, it means you’re actively being moved and any downtime should be less than an hour while you’re provisioned on the new network (Your IP will not change)

We appreciate your patience while we complete this migration and you’ll see a huge improvement in your network experience.

Thanks,
Yayzi Network Operations Team

Just a quick heads-up that you will notice a slight increase in your ping times :hourglass_flowing_sand: over the next little while.

Yayzi are in the process of moving over the ENNIs (External Network-to-Network Interfaces) to the new core network setup, which means the old core is running with a bit less capacity for now :construction:.

Don’t worry though—this is only temporary, and once everything’s moved over, things should be running smoother than ever :rocket:.
Yayzi are working hard to get it all sorted as quickly as possible!

I understand how frustrating this is but please rest assured once you have been migrated over you will see a huge improvement all round.
