Not great again tonight 6/9

Turn QOS off

We’re just not seeing these issues across the national network guys. We have it being looked at by CityFibre.

That’s mine as of right now, no where near as bad as some people’s

I am in Leeds

Good shout:

I had no idea QoS would hit my speed so badly.

Qos Usually is not turned on when we send our routers out But if you realise a speed decrease it may be best checking the Router settings via the Aginet app, to make sure it isnt enabled

Still no improvement during peak hours

This is very much looking to be in the local areas. It is still being looked at by CityFibre. I’ll chase for an update this morning for you.

I still get the same too, just not as extreme:

Pings are generally still low but the actual games report packet loss and disconnections - got around 10% packet loss a few nights ago.

This is exactly the same sort of thing that used to happen with VM when they were having capacity issues. Pings didn’t always change that much but the actual physical experience was very noticeable, such as in game latency or even slower web browsing.

I know Yayzi say there is plenty of capacity, but the symptoms are very similar. Maybe a routing/peering issue? I don’t know. Or like @CraigT1976 is this a local issue?

All I can say is that it seems fine during the day - and I work from home so am always doing data transfers, on video meetings etc., and no issues. Gets to around 19:00 and there is deuteriation - again, exactly the same symptoms as VM capacity issues.

As said before, currently not a massive issue but it’s not getting any better, in fact probably worse as the last lot of in game packet loss went up to 11% which is a lot worse.

Cheers.

Only happens at peak times so would also suggest to me some kind of capacity issue to the point it falls over and gets packet loss.

Peak hours didn’t seem that bad, tbh. I don’t expect it to bit flat green either, however I don’t play online games that much. I’ve been playing TDU2 online and haven’t noticed any jumping around or loss of any kind

It’d be interesting to see your graph from 6-8 weeks ago, I suspect it probably would be a lot less busier at peak times, which is why I lean towards my theory.

I don’t know how to get a combined graph unfortunately

Yes also happened to me between 8-10pm last night. My son said he couldn’t play his Fortnite or other games.:weary:

He certainly can

My Graph 8 weeks ago, if I posted a graph week by week you’d see the deterioration.
