Setting up ASUS Gt-BE98

Hi,
I have just signed up for the 2GB package with static ip address

I am intending on using the ASUS GT-BE98 as the router rather then the supplied one.

Does anyone have this already set up.
I understand that I need to set the vID to 911.
Does anyone have screenshots to confirm how the WAN and LAN->IPTV settings are set.

Do I need to change / create anything on the actual vlan /profile page.

Have been reading around different forums but as often is the case they don’t always have the resolved answer marked or are for slightly different asus models.

Additionally some forums mention that as I will have a static ip address that I will need to clone the MAC address of the yayzi supplied router. Is this correct.

Step 1:

Sign into router

Step 2:

Click WAN & make sure settings same as mine

Step 3:

Click LAN then IPTV button and add 911 as in my pic

Step 4:

Reboot router and all should be working. If it’s not let me know and will help you some more

Awesome thanks. Install date not until 13th Sept.
This should give me everything I need, if I run into problems I will be back.

Hey Guys,
I don’t if you’ve noticed, but it’s now required to clone the MAC address of the original router to get your own 3rd party router to work. Possibly Yayzi could implemented the change after they migrated the whole infrastructure.

It is not a requirement, it would be due to DHCP lease time.

This is totally not true. Im not sure where you heard this

ahhh, that’s something good to know. Is there a way to release the DHCP lease manually on the client’s end?

I have Yayzi in two houses and in both had the same issue. Once I cloned the MAC address of the Yayzi router, all started working ok.

Heya, there is but only from the backend. Other than that I think if you leave it offline for 10 minutes then the lease should cease to exist :slight_smile:

All I had to do was let the noc team now the wan mac address of my Asus router, didn’t have to clone anything & in fact I requested no router be sent out when I signed up as I had my own, it was sent anyway but I returned it.
