Personally I wouldn’t be worried, it’ll be up to the ISP to source new equipment. If you’re using Tap link equipment you bought yourself, that’s down to your own personal risk level as to whether to continue its use, it’ll still work, it may just not get firmware updates
Could be that Yayzi start to look at AltaLabs
Sadly AltaLabs is not ready for prime time…yet, too many basic features missing.
Be useful to see some information on what actual issue TP-Link weakness/exploits are. These type of reports gets everyone into a panic with knowing the full facts.
Admin password - not changing from default is probably one of the most obvious and exploited ways into a device.
Can 100% agree with this. But they also don’t have a AIO solution just yet anyhow.
This will probably go the same way as Huawei did - once one country gets cold feet with not being fully confident there’s no backdoor in place, they’ll ban it and other countries will follow.
