Agreed… The house I live at currently had ‘Sky superfast’ FTTC, a massive 3mb/s down and 200kb/s up! - I know that wasn’t Sky’s fault, likely a wiring fault, but they charge sky high prices for the broadband, my poor grandma was paying £40 a month for that and a landline

It’s very unlikely to help with the XGS-PON rollout, unless Sky decide to do MultiGig - Most areas are already XGS-PON capable, just not enabled, yet
