Static IP address

I did at one point, yes. Hence i don’t think it’s static. Just went through my messages with Yayzi and found it in the list of IP addresses i was assigned while i was having issues.

I reckon if you turn off your equipment for a day (Or maybe not even that long) you’ll end up with a new IP. In fact i’d put money on it. I’ve only ever seen static IP’s at Yayzi being 141 or 154.

My original “static” was 149.18.87.x

This turned out not to be quite so “static” however.

My best guess on this is that the Yayzi network team has some legacy they want to cut free of, and so wont do static allocations from the old netblock as it’ll tie them to it for longer. But thats a guess based on experience, not facts!
