Static IP Addresses

Well, if you keep closing topics, will have to keep creating new ones!

So, we were told that if we wanted to be put back on our old, pre-migration static IP addresses, that this would be done Wednesday. Well, it’s Friday now and this still hasn’t been done.

Has anyone out there that requested this been moved back to their old IP address yet? Please do post as I am getting a tad fed up with this.

I know it’s frustrating however please be patient if you’ve emailed you will get your old IP address again, This is a fully manual process where the NOC team have to check the what I assume is a spreadsheet to be able to give you the old IP address again.

They started it at 6 pm on Wednesday. They never said they were going to finish it on Wednesday.

As far as I’m aware, they had 700 emails for people wanting their static IP addresses back.

I do not have mine back yet, but please be patient. It will come.

Having US search results as you have is definitely not the end of the world as you can just navigate to the respective UK sites for the time being!

I understand that gaming is different ballpark but there isn’t much we can do about that for the time being

While I do not feel the need to close the thread, I cannot speak for the others

FYI.

Haven’t got my old IP yet, emailed noc 6 days ago, 7th Dec @ 18:33.

Sorry my last Topic was closed off as resolved but I am still getting told off here about Xmas shopping, all the stores are showing that we are in the USA. Is there something I should have done that I missed? Cheers.

Howdy partner, hope you have a rootin’ tootin’, basket ball shooting kinda day.

On a serious note, Yayzi are just waiting for the new IP’s to be recognised as UK ones. They’ve informed all relevant parties.

Go directly to the UK website via URL, or await until you get your static back. Those are the two options really.

And it makes you realise how much cheaper a lot of the stuff is over there!

While I am grateful and vey happy to see speeds back to near normality, I am still unhappy about being stuck on this IP in Trump country, which should have been sorted Wednesday.

Pretty please………

Click on Google account - More Settings - Other Settings - Language and Region - Results region - change from the default of “current region” to “United Kingdom”.
May help temporary until its sorted.

Thanks Ghu, but don’t have, and don’t want to create, a Google account.

Just want my old IP back…think the wife has pretty much run out of swear words now anyway!

Another workaround is to use DuckDuckGo - that seems to work okay. Not ideal but better than nothing

Just want my IP back to be honest. No geo related issues with that range.
