Not the end of the world as the increase is minimal so I won’t probably notice it in the real world, I’m just curious what could cause it.
I had a slight blip just after 12pm, straight afterwards my ping increased slightly ongoing, this can be seen in the graph below, you can see the slight step up in the green just after 12pm, with the red blip above lining up to it. Any idea what can cause this?
Looking at the time, it could be CityFibre works - I’m not seeing the same sort of blip on our end - but 00:00-02:00 is usually CityFibre doing work - Our usual window is between 02:00-04:00
Saw about the same my end, could be CityFibre my side as well.

Strange how the slight increase in ping has stuck. I was wondering if the route may have changed after the blip.
Not an issue as I won’t notice the slight increase in real life, just wondered what can cause it.
This thread prompted me to look at my smokeping charts
There was a ~2-3ms increase that hit at around 00:30 on September 30th
Yes it’s very strange, I’m guessing the average on mine is 3-5ms looking at the graph. However this wasn’t an increase that returned to normal, it’s stuck ever since.
I’ve also noticed that the peaks since this happened have been more erratic during peak hours also since this happened, see the graph below
I might try rebooting my ONT and router tonight to see if it changes anything and resets it.
