Terrible speed and we seem to be in the USA today

Hi Support

Is there an outage / issue today?

Trying to work from home today has been a headache the internet speed has been awful, really bad.

My wife has been trying to do some xmas shopping on her phone and its showing her as in the US every time she connects to the Yayzi fibre, why is that if its a UK service provider?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I have noticed that too. All search results come up in US dollars or US related. Thought it was just me. Odd

This has already been flagged to Google

For some reason, the system Google uses to figure out where we are based on IP address is not accepting the updates that Yayzi have provided.

So despite everything else I use acknowledging I’m in the UK, my Chromebook insists I’m on Mountain Standard Time in the US.

I reported this with YAYZI Support - hopefully Google can resolve this as so far this is the only issue with the IP range.

A workaround that can help in the meantime is to do a google search, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click update location. Provided that you have location enabled on your browser/machine - it should hopefully pick up and show you results in Sterling.

I am getting moaned at right this very minute by the missus about this. I should hopefully be back on my old IP by the morning and all will be ok.

Still on temp IP…still getting USA search results…Wife’s going nuts - pleeeaassssseeeee can you get my old static reinstated asap.

They’re working through them as quickly as possible

We’re still working through them, sorry @Keeop we’re doing it as fast as we can

Sorry guys, I’m just getting beaten over the head because of this one. I’ve got the missus constantly moaning about this, and the kids are always around their friends at the moment because ‘their Internet works’. Only your work on fixing all this can save our family… :grinning:

My IP is now showing as being in UK, so things are improving in that regard. The IP is however showing my ISP as being Cayley Primary School

Is it come kinda CityFibre issue or Yayzi? I switched from Virgin to Yayzi for better connectivity and service since yesterday and I’m scared now.

Please don’t be scared @Traveller - only 1 day left, Yayzi have completed what they need to, CityFibre have to plug in a cable, which will allow Yayzi to restore full speed to everyone.

Yayzi’s new network is capable of 7Tbps, this is their own equipment vs rented, which was the ‘old’ network

Yayzi’s new network is capable of 7Tbps

is there an announcement or can you tell more?

Sorry, think there is some clarification needed here, the hardware we purchased is capable of 7Tbps before we would need to do any major upgrades, so should keep us growing for a few years yet!
