Using own ax55 router doesn't work

Hi,

I’m trying to connect my TP-Link ax55 router as the main router but it doesn’t seem to work.

I have checked that it’s setup as Router mode but the Internet light shows red on the router - see attached.

Do I need to tell yayzi about this change of router to make it work?

Welcome to the community!

You will need to setup vLAN tagging on the WAN side. It needs to be set to 911

Hi,

There are I think two requirements that you need to set on your router.

WAN port - it’s a port where the internet cable goes in from your ONT box needs to be set up to work in VLAN 911 (only this port).
And Internet section on the router needs to be set into dynamic/DHCP mode
Here is a screenshot from Yayzi router, but you need to set your router with similar settings and it should work.

maybe this tutorial will help you out

try going into the settings for vlan id, normally under network = internet(change to advanced) and try changing the value to 911, save and reboot the router.
you should get back online then.

Hello there and welcome to the community!

No, you do not have to advise Yayzi of a router change!

You will however need to make sure it Supports VLAN tagging, And set to 911
