Yayzi network to Nufibre

So I got the upgrade to the 2.3 gig pro package yesterday, I had a new engineer, my upgrade was his first ever call and he was here for well over an hour for a quick ONT swap, he wanted to make sure the connection was up and running before he left, In the end he had to leave and the router wan interface wasn’t reconnecting but as it turns out there was a very good reason for that.

Not once was I ever told that by requesting the upgrade to my plan that I would be moving to the the nufibre network, although billing & support remain with yayzi but more importantly & unlike the yayzi network the nufibre network uses PPPoE so no wonder the router wasn’t reconnecting, it was configured for automatic IP & I didn’t even have my login details anyway until I emailed support to say the router wasn’t reconnecting after the ont swap.

I’m one of the first to move over apparently which kind of makes this BQM graph a little alarming as there’s constant blue & yellow on the graph since the upgrade, not huge spikes in latency I admit but it is constant and not just a peak time thing. I can honestly see that only getting worse as more yayzi users end up on the nufibre network.

One thing I will say as I’ve seen someone on here mention how the nufibre move will end up with new contracts, that’s false & incorrect, I am still 12 months into my 18 month contract, that hasn’t changed.

The reaction emojis are inclinded towards positivity - no sad or disappointed ones and the shocked one doesn’t really fit my feeling towards this. And so this is the only way I can react: :face_exhaling:

Wow, this is horrendous if you are the only one on Nufibre in your street and getting that much dropped packets etc.

About to contact support about this but here’s todays graph so far, ignore the large red bar, I factory reset my router and forgot to enable ICMP in the firewall!

Some large spikes in latency around midday, this nufibre network certainly isn’t as good as yayzi was, wonder if this is being caused by more users being moved to the nufibre network?

Anyone that has moved to NuFibre for new connections or regrades have been notified before proceeding and confirmed, PPPOE details have been passed onto to all connections. We have passed on the graph to the network to check, as everything is just being set up so should settle down.

New ASN is set up and IP being transferred over for NUFIBRE and then IPv6 initiated, while we set up the new equipment we will move to DHCP in due course.
