Yayzi Offline again?

Have we gone offline again? My network monitoring is showing my home kit has just all gone offline but could be a power issue I suppose.

It was down for 2mins and 12 seconds, we’re doing statics - so you may have dropped due to that.

Down since 11:47am but still offline. Guess I’ll have to head home and try rebooting ONT again……

Are we expecting an end to this poor reliability post migration or should we start looking at alternative providers.

Me too - does this require a reboot? Been down since 11.47 but no reconnection as yet.

As I just said above we’re doing statics, if you went down its likely you’ve been put on one, or a different range due to any geo issues.

You can try rebooting

Monitoring shows this has just come back online at 12:17pm.

Another seemingly planned outage without warning at peak time… come on, do better.

As we’ve explained countless times, the lowest traffic on the network is during the day, early hours the traffic quite a lot higher, seems we have a lot of night owls. These aren’t mass outages, we’re doing them in small batches to ensure minimal downtime.

If you haven’t requested a static and you dropped then we will look into that as a separate issue.

If you’re getting a static, then you can expect 2 minutes of downtime, or less with a router reboot. We’re never going to please everyone, which is why we’re trying to do everything in small batches.

Mike went down too. Does this mean I’m on a static IP now? I’ve not received an email as of yet. And my IP doesn’t seem to have changed

So 30 mins down and…. Same IP as it was previously (new 213. address).

I appreciate ppl are ‘desperate’ for their static addresses back but surely this is another situation where Yayzi staff should be scheduling works that affect multiple ppl to early hours of the morning like most other providers?!!

Like many, I gave up on the idea of a static IP long ago, I think around the third change in 3 months, and that was several additional changes ago, as such I didn’t email and request to retain my previous IP.

Also, much like the claimed 250Mbit on migration turning out to be about 10% of that when we were lucky, the 2 minutes was a lot closer to 30 (11:47-12:16). The traffic volumes aren’t the relevant metric for the network, look at the type of traffic, it’s much more likely to be automated bulk downloading taking place than actual live use at 4am.

If you’re on a Pro package you’ll get one assigned. Unless you don’t want one :slightly_smiling_face:

Interesting as I got my static yesterday but in the last 10 mins had two small outages.

I don’t have a static. I dropped for approximately 5 minutes this morning.

Now can’t access some sites. When will this all stop?!?!?!?!

I had a 10m drop last night, no warning, but got my previous static address back, so shrugged my shoulders. But I’ve just had another drop, and now a completely different address and no access to Battle.net services (service access now resolved).

Both times while logged on to a WoW hardcore/permadeath character - at this point I feel like they’re actively out to get me.
