There is no longer any Geo-IP issues with the new ranges that are live, yes there was a screw up on 1 range that showed Iran. Despite being told by the IP supplier that the range is clean.
You’re having a laugh - only so much testing - I’m not seeing any evidence of any - what about the latest range that was introduced only to be binned off due to still flagging as Iran for Geo-IP - where was the basic testing there?!
And so are your manners but yet here we are if you can’t be polite maybe best to not say anything at all . How many other providers reply out of hours untill at least 10 pm . Also how many other providers even have UK based support teams None at all as far as I know. Being kind costs nothing
I am not calling you an idiot by any means. Being an IT Director has no effect on what I’m saying. I am answering your questions with the knowledge that I have been told.
I use the Yayzi line myself and yes its annoying at times when these issues crop up but without a doubt the team hit them straight on and resolve them as quick as possible.
With issues like GeoDB there isn’t one DB to update and some take a lot of time to get updated and contact. Even then the likes of BBC take time to update from said DBs.
Trust me I am just as annoyed as you at times but this is being resolved.
If you sole heartedly feel this way then you are within your rights to leave Yayzi to another provider. But I would urge you stay as all these issues are getting rectified.
Geo-DB Issue - Resolved as a new range has gone live (be it with a small outage)
Yes the speeds aint great and this is being sorted. It’s because CityFibre have asked for a speed bump to be put in place during the migration. This will be demolished at the end of play of the 11th.
I’m on the same internet connection as you and experiencing slow speeds as well. I’m not here to argue; I’m simply answering the questions you’re asking. I’d appreciate it if we could maintain a respectful and courteous tone.
There is no defending here, I have put an apology out, explained what had happened best I can - The speeds tonight aren’t due to something we have done, or not done.
We’ve been told simply we have to limit the traffic on the network until the migrations have been completed, or we risk further issues on the CF network.
Speeds this low, was not expected and we are looking at it.
