My service has gone down

Yeah they offered me a pretty good renewal price, but it will increase again on the 31st of March. So if i took their offer up i’d be hit with an 8.8% price increase in a couple of weeks anyway.

The RPI rate announced in February 2024 is 4.9%. If the price of your main services is increasing from April 2024, your monthly subscription charge for your main services will increase by 8.8% (4.9% +3.9%)

Its such a shady practise that i’d rather burn the money.

clearly toying with us. a claim we have no way of verifying. may aswell have just said 500 are back online. none of whom are in this thread

This is the reason I left VM poor customer service and the price increases.

£27 for 1Gb, evening and weekend calls. Yeah, this will go up by a couple of quid end of this month, but contract is up end of April anyway and I am confident I could get the same again for even lower. But, those uploads…!!

Although, I was gaming earlier which would have been something I couldn’t have done if I was reliant purely on the Yayzi connection!

That 6ms connection to modern warefare 3 servers is unbeatable on Yayzi though

Then you came here for even worse customer service lol

Same experience I had with VM at some point they were only ISP with decent speed but after a while I ended up going to the Ombudsman due to their horrible service and practices

Get better service here than I did with VM, they had me waiting on hold 3 hours before I have up, but if you wanted to cancel it was 5 minutes, they kept blaming my equipment for their line faults. Even a technician agreed with me.

My connection looks like it’s on the way back up as I’ve now got a 79.135.100.xxx address which is actually marked as a Yayzi Broadband rather than IP River range.

Appears to have lost the static IP address I had on the 95. whatever range but that’s not a major issue as long as it’s a routable address that’s all I care about

That said performace looks canny bad with just general browsing painfully slow. No doubt will settle but worth checking

To be fair I did knew what I have signed up for with Yayzi , small ISP eager to try new things. Sometimes it is beneficial like speeds I get, sometimes is not like the outage now.

There is good and bad with both, I was with vm blueyonder telewest all the same since 2003 I think, never had a problem beside the fight to get a better deal like new customers, here is the opposite good price not great when things go wrong, no call centre , the same old bullshit you will be back up soon. But when the service works it is good

The performance may initially be a little poor when you get back online, but don’t worry this will be a lot better than the old network, once everyone is back online it’ll be spot on!

Some in the thread below have already said they’re coming back online. Performance is a little slow currently but that will improve.

All I’ve done is explain how many customers are in each batch, and how many came back online.

Trace routes to say www.bbc.co.uk show less latency and hops than a TTB FTTP connection I have.

That said I didn’t have any issues prior but TTB network is :kissing_heart: so if you can match that seems great

That might work to get you back online next, I guarantee mine won’t be back on by the morning

My router is now saying that I’m online, but I have no throughput at all. I’ve tried to reboot in the router no luck
so still no internet

My forum account is not linked to my Yayzi account at all. Its a completely separate email address, so no brownie points trying to be earnt here lad.

Still not online yet, in Derby.

I apologise for my incredulity. My connection is now back up to.
