My service has gone down

Haha :joy: if you have any good ways to get brownie points let me know

I am still waiting in Leeds but some ppl are getting back some fingers crossed.

If you don’t use the same email then yeah obviously we can’t link you.

We simply explained that in most cases all the systems are linked it’s how we identify people. To offer support, credit or whatever else :slightly_smiling_face:

Almost missed the Arsenal match because of this

Same case here so far :+1:

Not missing much :eyes::rofl: - but apologies nonetheless!

I tried to use the same email, but it appears your email server doesnt support .info domains.

Also, it’s still down, 6 hours later.

Back online. Based in Leicester.

With this change to the network how will that affect me as I’m setup with a static IP? Do I need to switch back to Dynamic?

Ah, yes! Sorry…if you’re on a static you will need to change back to dynamic to grab your new IP.

If it’s critical that you have the same IP please drop me a DM here!

I am back online according to my router, but have zero speed at all can’t even run a speed test

Just a quick question, how likely will this IP change happen again. Ive external services pointing at my now old IP, so i need to make DNS changes to repoint to the new IP. If i can get my old IP back that’ll be great, but I suspect you’ll be swamped with requests from customers all asking for their IP back for the foreseeable.

I’m still not back online yet, but just here to say that I rely on my static IP for firewalled access to several services for work, so if I could have mine back (or a new address albeit still static) that would be great :+1:

What details are needed to switch back to static IP on the new network?

There are ways to get to speak to the UK staff, if you know how. But, Jeez, yeah. I’ve been with VM since the NTL days so 90s. Have had more than my fair share of grief with them but it’s only been the last 6 months that I now have a viable alternative. Ironically, I have had no issues at all with VM for the whole of this 18m contract period. Tell a lie, had an issue with my landline not ringing but instead of flipping me on to IP phone, which I didn’t want due to location of the hub, they found a guy who could still work exchanges and he changed some bits in the exchange and got my phone ringing again. Excellent service so no complaints there.

There have been a few hiccups here but the guys have always sorted the issues so no complaints with the support here from me.

Just need to decide whether we can do without the old school landline and either just use mobiles or go IP.

The IP that you’ve been moved to is one of our new ranges so it wouldn’t ever change, that I can confidently say.

I’m pretty much the same, also have some internal cloud servers and services I use for work so need a static IP

Essentially the same as you had configured yourself previously…but if you keep as Dynamic IP and VLAN 911 it’ll grab the static from us anyway :slightly_smiling_face:

Mike, the IP you have now would be permanent. It may take some time to move the other range of IPs over, new LOAs issued etc…
