New internet, on 154.56, and no ipv6

Hi,

We had our new ONT installed on Wednesday with no problems on the CityFibre side but no internet. I waited a couple of hours then remembered a support post I’d read and went in and changed the router vlan ID setting to 911 and instantly had lovely fast internet.

So now I have two questions:

  1. The router (TP-Link EX230v) obviously hadn’t been pre set up correctly for the connection so are there any other settings I should be changing?

  2. IPv6 isn’t working. The WAN Connection setting says “No available interface”. From reading on here and Discord, I believe this could be because we’re on the 154.56 IP range?

I saw in this thread that there had been lots of issues with this range, and there were now only 2 customers on it, and that other user was being moved off it tonight. I’m tech capable but not that familiar with network tech so mostly just looking for advice given posts like that!

Ah, I feel a little silly - I got the WAN Connection dropdown to populate by modifying the connection on the EWAN tab and ticking Enable ipv6 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It still doesn’t seem to be letting me use it though according to https://test-ipv6.com/ (after rebooting router and PC).

We’ll take a look for you and get you moved off that range too :slightly_smiling_face:

Fab, thank you!
