New ONT installed but no internet

Hi, I had my service installed today. It took forever to get the ONT commissioned(?) by CityFibre. They arrived at 13:00 but the green lights have only just come on.

However, I do not have internet. My UDM SE is not getting an IP address. I have set my VLAN to 911 and IPV4 to DHCP.

Please can anyone shed any light? @Yayzi_Team

Hi There

The easiest and best way to contact Yayzi is to email [email protected]

It could be that the line is not active as Cityfibre didn’t fully close the job, they’re known for that

Is it now getting an IP address then? Because that looks like they’ve only just closed the job

No, No IP still

You may well need to power off / on the ONT.

We’re up! Thank you!

Engineer hadn’t closed the job down, so just required a nudge from us :slightly_smiling_face:

I thought the whole 154.x was getting removed? It doesnt exist in the geofeed, I think there needs to be some transparency with it.
Two people in the discord just recently had issues on it, asked to be moved off and it fixed their issues :man_shrugging:

I suspect you’ll be posting again soon @Silverberg that something doesn’t work on the range you are on. Post on discord IPV6 doesn’t seem to work on it for a start.

I guessed correctly :rofl::ok_hand:

Here’s a new issue I’m hoping you can help me with now.

My girlfriend’s work requires MFA for Outlook. It’s meant to come up with a dialog box which then send her a code.

Since our internet came up she gets the message on the picture I attached. She also get it on her work phone. But if she turns Wi-Fi off and uses her 5G it works fine.

Please advise

She’ll have to speak to her IT to see where Microsoft thinks she’s logging in from

@Yayzi_Team Please move him off the 154.x subnet asap

As @Lee says the subnet is the issue

@Yayzi_Team ive literally just said it’ll cause issues. What dont you just remove the range? Its honestly frustrating seeing people post issues day after day and it doesnt even affect me!

There are 3 154.x ranges the 154.60. range has been fine.

We’ve had no further issues reported on these ranges except just now.

We usually see it more often on a Friday, stays in a commited state, rather than completed. It’s generally a quick fix, just required manual input

There is definitely a pattern with 154.56

Another.
