No internet since this morning

We’re slowing bring the last remaining customers down, back online.

Seems some of you lucky folks require a little bit of extra attention. We do have a back up plan if we have a few stragglers!

If it’s not fixed by Friday lunchtime could you just for those few remaining people unable to connect and stuck offline just give the details to type in as a static connection on the router as opposed to DHCP.

Anthony, I have mine, but they don’t work anymore, likely because Yayzi made some infrastructure changes on their end. I don’t think this workaround is available anymore (that’s probably why it’s not offered), unless Yayzi advises otherwise.

I have the static details also but they are for the old IP range. New ones would need to be issued for the IP new range.

I was given the old one as I had no internet for a week. And I was thinking by Friday lunchtime it means no internet over the weekend if its not fixed by then.

They’ve changed the IP4 IP range also. The ones everyone had no longer exist with Yayzi. Hence how everyone’s connection went down until the IP is refreshed within the new range.

I noticed that myself posting the above. I joined Yayzi one year ago today.

Still no internet at 9pm. Just did another reboot. Nothing afterwards.

We’re going to try our back up solution tomorrow, I’m really sorry about this. I think at this point we still have about 8 people with the same issue.

We honestly don’t know why you’re having these issues. But thousands of others have come back up :thinking:

Could it be a defective ONT? As all my problems with DHCP allocation come about when my ONT was swapped over in April.

I wouldn’t entirely rule it out, but CityFibre will need us to rule out issues on our end first before we can swap

I was thinking about it and I’m not in a rush, so if you wanted to do some further tests I’m happy to help you out. Tomorrow I will be working from home, so I can assist you if you like. I work in IT, so I’m computer and network literate. We can test any settings on my and on your end if you like, to get to the bottom of the issue.

I have no internet this morning too.
I have my own router and it is set to DHCP and vlan 911. Ive rebooted it a few times without success.
I have tried the router you sent me and it wont power on. I dont have a spare power supply for it.
I’ve rebooted the ont no change.
I connected my mac straight to the ont and assigned a vlan tag and still no success.

The ont lights are all green.

EDIT: Back online now with no further troubleshooting my side.

Another person here with no connection since the change. All my settings are correct.

Is there a solution yet?

I work from home and I’m having to use my phones hotspot. It’s not acceptable to have an outage for this amount of time.

We do have a solution that we are going to try today.

There was about 10 customers out of thousands that didn’t come back online. That’s admittedly left us baffled.

I agree this amount of downtime is not acceptable at all, and I do apologise for that.

Guys, I are sorted with manual settings :-] we are back online :-]

Where did you get the manual settings from?

The Yayzi provided me with them.
