Well, it’s late evening on a Friday. The latency is low, the speeds are high! Blazing fast some would say! I just want to say thanks to the Team for their hard work and time, and also putting up with the wild amount of abuse they have no doubt received. This upgrade was needed and has made a massive difference. Yes we have had shocking service for a week, yes timescales moved, yes communication could of been better (more of an instant-ish update when you had updates). Lessons have been learnt no doubt and hopefully Yayzi can now continue to grow even bigger. Congrats. Hopefully the last few issues are sorted and you can move on to the next stages! <3
Happy here just need my static back but it works and happy with that for now
I’ve been waiting sometime, get in line pal!
Yep I’m waiting too don’t mind at all as long as the internet works plus I kinda love the us ads on you tube it’s like being on holiday with all the things I love lol
Thanks from too.
Pftt ping ain’t great
Yeah how can I get 2ms like above lol
By being super kind to the interwebs!
I know!
When my net was up temporarily i only had 5ms ping…would love mine to be lower too…
Post migration (I seem to be on the 213.18.* range) I’m noticing the Google “Results Region” is assuming that I am prefering US results (which I am not)
It is worth explicitly setting / checking “United Kingdom” on the Results region field, rather than defaulting it to “Current Region”
It was fine as “Current region” before migration as it believed I was UK based so all the search results came back with £££ rather then $$$
The same geo location issue is also affecting my daughter’s VPN connection to her place of work. It believes the IP range to be non-UK and so the connection is dropped.
So we have to hotspot the VPN to get the place of work to believe we really are in the UK.
While we can work around for the time being, there is still a Geo Location issue on my IP/ ASN routing.
UPDATE Just seen another post with similar issues:
This should be resolved Monday/Tuesday with the geodatabase update.
Hi there,
My comment here is not to open a new ticket. As per your suggestions on Yayzi Talk, I opened a ticket for the inconsistency of my broadband speed. My IP is starting 213 and I attached the screenshot of my Speedtest results. It is inconsistent and also all results are USA as mentioned also by some other people here.
My broadband package is 1.2Gbps.
This is just to let you know that this problem affected many people. I’m still having problems.
Where does it mention the server ? Normally it selects a server based on ping
@ChrisTok sorry, is this question for me? I don’t know anything about server.
Assumed you meant the test results were using US servers that’s all
Ping 2ms looks sick
@Traveller are you running these tests over WIFI?
@Dziros i made a test with laptop as well but it’s Ethernet port is 100mbps so I can’t see max speed in there. So I posted WiFi results here. But is it not satisfying at all comparing the package I pay. It is lower than the minimum guaranteed speed.
The minimum guaranteed speed is only via wired. There are just too many variables on WiFi that we have zero control over
@Yayzi_Team folks, I understand you but literally I receive different results and most of them are below 500Mbps. That is not fair. I have a virgin media at the moment till the end of this month and I have higher speeds with that. I don’t understand this. How do you think 369Mbps is on my package?
