Speed has dropped from 900 to 260ish

The peak time shaping will be in without a reboot, but you will need to reboot if you’re still limited to 200Mbps

Rebooted the ONT… before and after

Ping times looking better…

outlook.com ping always has been much higher.

This isn’t part of the migration, this was just to enable the traffic management, we would expect when migrated for that to be lower again

Just playing around with some new kit a New router and Switch, just an observation … lets see how things looks after the migration…

Thanks

I’m confused as I’ve just done a reboot of the ONT, still got traffic shaping… Is it meant to be on at this time of day? I thought it was just peak periods (5pm to 10pm)?

Try rebooting your router also.

It worked

I’ll be honest, I didn’t do that initially as I wouldn’t have expected it to make any difference if the ONT had been rebooted, but it did so thank you.

Should I not be subscribed by default to these updates? Seems like the sort of thing you’d want to be opt-out rather than opt-in?
Also, I wouldn’t say ‘no’ to a Telegram channel/bot as a means either

That is something that the Yayzi team could probably do however the system is set up in a way that if your email address is inputted you have to then accept via a link which is a email to you

GDPR is probably the reason.

You’ve signed up to a service (broadband), it’s a reasonable use of your data to inform you about the status of said service.

I guess where the issue lies is that the systems aren’t all interconnected quite yet; i.e. I couldn’t have an account created & authenticated on the Client Portal and then by extension the same e-mail address used (because it’s already validated) for service updates.

Telegram isn’t something setup on the status page by default. But on the discord you can get alerts due to outages if that helps

The status page does give us an option to import email address. But this currently would be a manual task.

on the discord you can get alerts due to outages

But that means I have to use Discord… :sob::sob:

Signed up with e-mail, so less of an issue now

I haven’t noticed any speed differences though!

Not noticed anything usability wise but my thinkbroadband monitor has had a sustained latency increase since around 3:45am this morning… does this mean it’s nearly my turn to join the exclusive migration club? :crossed_fingers:t3:

We are all suffering from this unfortunately

I’ve seen very strange speeds on PS5 where certain downloads only go at like a couple of hundred Kbps  - but then other times it’s normal.

Oh interesting. My speeds don’t appear to have been throttled anyway. Im north east based (assuming you are too with the Newcastle badge) so maybe some of the work is impacting on a regional basis.

Yeah my speeds are always maxed out at 2.3gig just the latency is rubbish😞
