You’re the reason I can’t have nice things, stop running speed tests!

I appreciate the updated timeline, but shifting today’s potential for uplift to Friday onwards this late in the day, and only after being pressed for a timeline really doesn’t improve credibility at all, much less go down well.

In the words of my wife ‘We’ve literally never had so many problems with any other ISP, ever’ and honestly, I can’t argue with her. Presumably under the circumstances migrations without penalty are an option?

We deal with any requests via email. So feel free to drop an email to [email protected]

We’re not expecting the dates to change again. Everything is done except the cable being plugged into CF equipment. The portal are all configured. The cables are there, from our end we’re ready to go and as soon as the cable is plugged in at their end we can resume normal service.

If that’s the case I can’t help thinking it would have made more sense for that cable to be plugged in today or tomorrow, so there is time to deal with any issues that arise before the weekend.

I fear the next update will either be Cityfibre have postponed plugging in the cable due to it being Saturday after Friday… Or that they’ve plugged it in, somethings gone tits up but need to wait until Monday for a resolution.

We will deal with it if it comes to that. Obviously we’re frustrated our side as well waiting for a cable to be plugged in.

There have been a lot of conversations behind the scenes. We don’t take any of this lightly. We know how important is it, heck we would love to have everyone at full speed and have no tickets to deal with :frowning:

But we power on!

Can I have the 10pm slot… for… reasons…?

So are speeds/latency going to be resolved today or is it friday now?

I’ll take 10:03, I can’t imagine @Nerdz is going to need the full 10 mins
Should be available again by 10:05 :+1:

They are waiting for CF to plug it in the cable on their end, which will happen on Friday due to the engineer being needed elsewhere.

This is coming directly from the Discord so if you want Up to the minute information that is supposed to be

It will definitely be Friday and all this will definitely be worth the wait

Previously it was definitely Wednesday so you can understand why people are sceptical.

Also - if this was planned so expertly - why was this not booked in with CF - the impact this has on a large number of customers for the sake of someone “plugging a cable in” and CF have no one free? It doesn’t ring true and it’s once again passing the buck and blaming CF.

Makes you wonder how many engineers CF have working for them if there’s nobody else free to plug this cable in meaning we have to wait until Friday.

Stupid question and I’m sure it’s just my understanding.

I never had any previous issues prior to this migration, never any downtime, always got 2gig. So why were the existing customers not just left on the “old” setup and the new server rack used for expansion/new customers?

My only assuming is that this is just down to costs and not running two setups at once?

As basically I’m getting a load of hassle for zero benefit as I was happy before.
