Happy connection day! 🎉

Was wired, and I’d sent an email to the noc email for my previous static ip, guess they’re still going through them I suppose. Just happy to have a bit more bandwidth, was getting earache from the other half and kids, and it was such a shame I couldn’t work from home :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth::rofl::grinning::rofl:

I know that feeling!

Asus router, you go to it from the router settings. It shows speed that the router is getting?

full speed is resumed, thank you Yayzi.

@Steveburn just a quick question m8. I have 1.2Gbps package and it includes static IP but they advised me to use dynamic IP unless it is necessary. I’m trying to understand if Static IP is useful for us in home environment or not. If you wouldn’t mind, can you tell me in what circumstances we need static IP?

For my own personal use I have one set up so I can connect to my servers / workstations at my place of work.
The static ip I had has been in place for quite a while on the servers at work so having a dynamic ip would entail me contacting my boss who wouldn’t be happy, never is, they would then have to change the allow remote connections from (my static ip) to a new one.
with a dynamic, if for what ever reason the lease expired, the router restarted, ANOTHER MIGRATION :joy::rofl::joy: the ip could possibly change thus not allowing me to remotely work without going through the above process over and over until the boss man has a go at me

Thanks very much :pray:t2:

I’m back. IP address changed however. That can be resolved eventually I imagine

@Ninja_freak What about the reliability of the connection and the levels of Internet speeds?

Aye atleast you’ve got connection I’ve still got no network, contacted support again but damn. Been without net for 3days now hopefully all will be resolved soon. Right guys….:joy:

We’ll have some information to share shortly around that

Fingers crossed. We were told problems will end on Friday. I wanna enter Saturday with hopes😂

Hi,

i was just wondering when the ping times are going to reduce. I know they’re not huge, nothing like the 50/60ms over the last few days. But before the migration, i was getting 6ms and i thought they were only going to get lower with the new network?

Im sure you still have alot going on, and im probably nit picking.

Thank you.

Try a test server in London  ping should be lower

ping looking good, microsoft and outlook looking high.

Microsoft is pinging Australia and Outlook is pinging Washington

M8,
My son plays COD and he likes lower ping, less latency for the game. What should we do for this? He plays in Xbox series X and I play in PlayStation 5.

Wait for yayzi to sort their :poop: out

@AJHutchinson93 They said Friday is the day to complete all. I’m hoping it’s gonna be great tomorrow.

Yeah but this was before people started losing connection was just slow speeds and shit latency now that’s the not even the main issue😂
