only database my ip shows wrong is https://www.ipligence.com
Aliexpress always defaults me to USA until I login. Iād never thought about it but i guess itās due to the geo location issue.
Been with Yayzi for almost a month now and so far I havenāt had many issues with Geolocation. However, I recently noticed 2 things:
- Google thinks Iām in Austria - Iāve already submitted a report to them to see if they can change it. This seems to be a recent change - originally was correct.
- ipligence - which someone posted further up - thinks Iām in Italy. And Iāve had at least one site think so too, but it wasnāt geoblocking so no real issue. None of the usual suspects have caused any problems so far.
Neither of these is causing me any issues, so sharing more for information.
First 3 octets of IP are 79.135.100.xxx
Thanks!
I have noticed that too, however it doesnāt seem to be having any issues with the catch-up programs
Still all over the show with most of the IP Geo databases.
154.60.95.X
Weāve got a published geofeed now which providers should start using, makes things a lot easier to clean up.
We have another 1k IPs in cleaning currently.
BBC Iplayer & more is no longer accessible for us, on both Smart TV & Laptop, this happened just earlier today. Saying iām āoutside of the UKā this has been a problem for us attempting to use the Channel 4 App since we switched to Yayzi and itās now getting worse!
Iāve seen this has been a topic of discussion for months so why is it getting worse? Really annoying for our first month with no sign of improvementā¦
What WAN network subnet are you on?
Drop [email protected] an email. They should be able to help.
Weāve just reached out to BBC to get this resolved.
Luckily theyāre quick at sorting!
Merged with existing topic
And just yesterday BBC has started serving the International website to me with no Iplayer ⦠149.18.87.* ⦠for godās sake will this never be resolved ?
We have a published geofeed that databases are supposed to be using now.
Itās like a never ending cycle, weāve asked them to ignore any other requests, or geofeed that isnāt originating from a Yayzi domain.
Similar here: Iām getting redirected to https://www.bbc.com/ since my IP changed to the 154.56.255.* range
My BBC News is now supplying the north-america stream:
Also disconcerting to see weather forecasts from around the world with temperatures in Fahrenheit
My ip range is the same as the poster above 154.56.255 and am having the same issues.
It was fine until Thursday night when my router rebooted itself and put me on a new range, despite supposedly having a static ip.
Something else weird was that in signing up to this forum, the activation wouldnāt send to my Hotmail address, despite a number of tries.
As soon as I switched to gmail, it was fine.
This is probably unconnected but thought Iād mention it.
I believe you was on a 149.X previous which isnāt static, we have a pool of dynamic only IPs.
So everyone that is supposed to have a static has one. This is from a new range that has been provided directly by cogent who have now updated their geo database to use our geofeed. Weāve been assured by that this will propagate quite quickly
The Hotmail issue is unrelated, I believe for some reason the discord software is blocking. We are looking into it but admittedly itās not high up the priority list just yet
Well I am supposed to have a static IP with my package. Is the 149 range still dynamic ?
A static IP is included but should be requested. Not everyone wants a static address. The 149ās are still dynamic.
We will be making some changes so we can resolve the geo issues much quicker but we canāt implement it over the weekend.
So we will schedule a maintenance window for it
