Migration - Why, who asked for it, when will it end?

I have just been migrated and I can no longer access sites that were never an issue in the past. I have emailed you to revert to my previous static IP when this crap is all done, but it’s not great, is it? One debacle after another.

Are we expecting this for a period of time after migration? Or am I having issues?

As far as I know, we can expect everything to be :poop: until the 11th.

If after that date everything is still :poop: then I’m off.

My IP showed as Iran last night and I’m sure I created a post about it but it seemed to dissappear, what’s going on lol

We are aware of an ongoing issue where some IP addresses are incorrectly showing as being located in Iran. Our team is actively addressing this matter and collaborating closely with our GeoDB (Geolocation Database) providers to rectify the situation as quickly as possible.

Key Points:

  • The issue affects only a subset of IP addresses
  • We are in direct communication with GeoDB providers
  • A solution is being expedited to ensure accurate geolocation data

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this discrepancy. We will provide updates as soon as the geolocation data has been corrected.

TLDR: We are aware of the GeoDB issue and it’s being resolved

Just in case anyone else sees the same.

Things have settled down again now. :+1: :+1:

It will fluctuate over the next few days until we have everyone over, this is completely expected

We are aware that some customers are experiencing higher-than-usual ping times. This is a temporary issue directly related to our ongoing migration process. Our team is closely monitoring the situation and working to minimise any impact on your service.

Key points:

  • This is a known, temporary issue affecting some customers.
  • It is directly linked to our system migration.
  • Our technical team is actively working to reduce the impact.

We expect ping times to return to normal once the migration is complete. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience.

If you have any urgent concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.

Updates on our progress will be shared through our official channels. Thank you for your continued support.

I’m enjoying the old network at the moment, apart from the ping increase that is after joining Yayzi back in October but with most having been moved over to the new network my bqm graph is no longer showing high spikes at peak times.

Don’t worry, you’re likely getting migarated tonight

So much for being capped at 250.

Same here

Same here. 250mb/s on a 1.2gig package is bad enough, but bearable for a couple of days… 10mb/s really leaves me questioning my choice of provider.

Let’s stay positive community  Am sure Yayzi team are working hard tonight to have us all up and running as usual. Me trying to find my 5G SIM to use as backup, I have been paying for the last two years, and when I need it can’t find it :frowning:

This is horrible

Look! We’re awful connection twinsies!

The only thing worse than no Internet…is SLOW Internet.

The Oatmeal said it first…

And now all of a sudden, my IP changed to an IPV6. No improvement at all.

We’ve just made some changes due to a geolocation issue. You’ll get a new IP address after a few mins. Please bear with us. If you still don’t have a connection in the next 20 mins please reboot your router.

Thanks,
Liam
