My guess would be that’s IP lease related as it’s so regular. My lease looks to have been increased to 900s and it’s not dropped since 11.10 this morning.
Easy way to fix that - go to settings (still available even without a connection) and applications, manage apps, choose plex and then click launch and as long as you have set local address ranges to be authenticated on the local server, it will work.
We have dedicated CF underground routes here. My line goes direct to a CF cabinet. I was the first person on my street to get CF installed - whole cab to myself
I’ve had no service for 24 hours now. I’ve tried the factory resets and reboots etc but still no service.
Given the all flow back to the same cabinet/point of failure, two connections on CF probably isn’t the answer if you are looking for resiliency. That said a heavy handed digger operator will take out anything ground based, and not everyone has provision for pole feeds, realistically a good 4G/5G option is likely as good as, if not better than FTTC anyway.
10 minutes to obtain a lease is mental, nevermind the lease time expiring so often. Is the backbone running over dial up
Is there any word on when Disney+ is going be fixed? And I’m getting very inconsistent pings
Just a curiosity - not going to happen at home. Bad enough doing it at work with Openreach/VM etc - don’t want that pain at home too!
Same problem over at my location sent a ticket in over 12 hours ago with no response any help @Yayzi_Team.
Would also like to know this my Mrs will be moaning later no doubt
Kids and Mrs are moaning about Disney plus. Any sight of a fix on that yet? Seems a bit odd that the new IP range is out of region from their perspective…
I think they are worrying about people who have no internet, like me! but you are right my wife wants Disney+ back
This has worked if you have the tplink router login to it and go to factory reset if you have a custom name/password for you WiFi put the same as before and all your devices should reconnect. The ont (little box where the cable that comes from outside plugs in there’s a little pin hole on the front with reset next to it use a very small pin or Allan key and hold for minimum of 5 seconds
We now have near enough full speed internet again
Disney plus however, does not work
Yeah, priority has to be ppl with no service first no doubt about that. I would be upset , so Disney + can wait
A few speed tests on the 2.5G package over WiFi on an iPhone 15 Pro Max in the same room as the router before and after been moved with the outage:
Before Idle Ping - 9 ms
Before Down - 1420 Mbps
Before Up - 1257 Mbps
After Idle Ping - 26 ms
After Down - 462 Mbps
After Up - 72.4 Mbps
I never knew Disney+ was so popular until this thread started. I’m getting 10 minute drop outs every hour yet Disney+ HAS to be working. So yeah Disney+ can absolutely wait.
i am back online since yesterday but only for few minutes before i am offline again . This is not online in my view as i cant do anything
created an uptime kuma instance just to track the outage, its seems very uniform and theres a slight pattern to the dropouts does this help @Yayzi_Team ?
Sadly, that’s not how the limited IPv4 address space available works. There aren’t really any ‘new’ addresses anymore, just like phone numbers, Yayzi is in effect buying in ranges, those ranges have been used for a wide variety of things before Yayzi’s customers and service providers such as streaming platforms tend to block known VPN/proxy/hosting/non geographic ranges as they’re risk averse and still clinging to the regional access model because that’s how they make money. If you subscribe to a service in one country, the price may be drastically different in another, this is why people buy XBL/Netflix/Youtube premium subscriptions from India/Brazil etc. and activate them via VPN, then use the UK versions and save a fortune. Disney would rather block you and look at individual issues than risk what it thinks may be abuse of it’s service.
Northants - was up and running again this morning, but dropped again a short while ago. ONT & router rebooted, no joy.
ONT showing service, but nothing happening. Router getting IP address, but not able to send anything. Router swapped with another, no difference.
